  1. Zucchini and Summer Squash. These would grow great anywhere that you plant them, so give it a try in some containers this season. This is another vegetable that can grow wild, so tame them in some containers for easy harvesting. Make sure you add some cages or stakes to allow them to grow vertically.
  2. Radishes. Personally these aren’t my favorite vegetable to eat, but my parents and grandparents love them, so I can put up with them. Even if you don’t have a green thumb, these are so easy to grow, you simply can’t screw them up. Plant a few in a container and see what they do. They aren’t particular with their space like some other vegetables are.
  3. Spinach. Another superfood that you will be happy to have at your fingertips. Spinach will do best in an 8″ container per plant. Also, spinach is shy and doesn’t like direct sunlight, so give it a break and find it some shade.
  4. Eggplants. Eggplants have something going for it besides just nutritional value. It actually produces a very pretty foliage, so you get some curb factor when growing it, meaning it’s just pretty. It receives 2 gold stars for pulling double duty. Make sure the container is at least 5″ deep, and then just stand back and watch it grow. Well, water it regularly. We hope that’s obvious though.
  5. Carrots. Last, but not least on our list is carrots. Carrots are picky. They really don’t want to be overwatered or underwatered. They want to be watered just right. When you give the carrots what they want, they will multiply well for you, and you will reap an abundant harvest from them.
