How To Make ALL Your Locks Use The Same Key

This is a brilliant tutorial that shows you how to modify any lock to open with any key, so if you have 2 or 3 keys for different locks, modify the lock so you only need one key. This will lighten up your key chain and make finding your keys a whole lot easier.

Brass locks are difficult due to their material, but still possible. I’ve done this modification to dozens of locks: round shackle locks, trailer hockey puck locks, solid steel locks, and laminated locks like shown in the video. Your first will take you 30-45 minutes but after you do one or two you can get this down to 10-15 minutes per lock.

This works even if you don’t have a key to the lock. So you could use old locks that are just sitting around waiting for their ultimate fate… the land fill. You can also use locks you find at garage sales, on the rad or at your friends house.
