Adding a calming water feature to your garden doesn’t have to be hired out to a professional. Neither does it have to be expensive. With these easy to follow steps, you can be ready to enjoy your new water feature in a matter of hours. Here’s a list of what you will need.

Tools Needed:

  • shovel
  • rubber mallet
  • level
  • wheelbarrow to mix cement in
  • drill with a hole saw
  • screwdriver

Items Needed:

  • sump (fiberglass pond)
  • large pot (flower pot)
  • a length of PVC pipe that a hose can fit through (about 8″)
  • silicone sealer
  • galvanized grid
  • platform to place over the sump (holes will be placed in this, along with an access panel for the pump)
  • submersible pump
  • pebbles (river rock)
  • bricks to make a pedestal for the pot to sit on
  • river sand
  • cement mix
